DJournal

Last updated: March 22, 2026

Short version: DJournal does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Your decisions, reasoning, and outcomes stay entirely on your device.

No Data Collection

DJournal does not collect any personal information. All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Nothing is sent to external servers, and the developer has zero visibility into your data.

What the App Stores Locally

  • Decisions — title, choice made, reasoning, confidence level, category, stakes, and timestamps
  • Outcomes — result (e.g. better/worse), reflection text, and satisfaction rating
  • Categories — name, icon, and accent color you have defined

All of this data lives only on your device. Deleting the app removes it entirely.

Export & Import

You can export your entire journal as a JSON file and save it wherever you choose — to Files, iCloud, or another app. Import restores it back into DJournal. No cloud service or external server is involved in this process.

Notifications

DJournal can send local reminders when it's time to review a decision. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on-device by iOS. No decision data is sent to any server. You can disable them at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → DJournal.

No Third-Party SDKs or Analytics

DJournal contains no advertising SDKs, analytics frameworks, crash reporters, or any other third-party code that could collect or transmit data.

No Account Required

DJournal does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or location.

Children's Privacy

Because DJournal collects no data whatsoever, it is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes in a future version of the app, the updated policy will be posted at this URL with a revised date at the top.
